Hey There from Gnomestead Farms!

Hey There from Gnomestead Farms!

Hey there, friends! It’s been a little while since our last update, and we’ve got plenty to share. From the twists and turns of building our gnome home to exciting plans for the farm, there’s never a dull moment here. So, grab a warm drink, settle in, and let’s catch up on the latest from Gnomestead Farms.

Gnome Home Update: Slow and Steady Wins the Race

If you’ve been with us for a while, you know we’re crafting a gnome home for our youngest son, Josh. Progress? Well, it’s been a test of patience. Work, a busy holiday weekend, and unpredictable weather have slowed us down, but that’s okay—life has a way of teaching us to savor the journey. Each little milestone, every whimsical detail we add, feels like a win. We’ll get there, one step at a time. By the way, Josh isn’t exactly thrilled that we call it a gnome home. 😊

Big Plans for the Farm: Tractors, Fencing, and Gnome-Themed Dreams

Now for the fun part—our farm plans are picking up steam! We recently acquired a 1964 Ford 2000 tractor and a shiny new Farm Boss chainsaw. These tools will help us clear land and install fencing for our goats—and maybe some cows in the future. It’s all about growing sustainably and making the most of this beautiful place we call home.

But wait, there’s more! 😊 We’re dreaming up gnome-themed Airbnb cabins—cozy hideaways tucked in the woods, decked out with gnome doors, fairy lights, and a sprinkle of magic. It’s early days yet, but we’re plotting and planning. Picture yourself sipping coffee on a tiny porch, surrounded by the calm of the farm after a long day on Current River in Van Buren, MO. That’s the vision we’re chasing!

Fourth of July Fun: Family, Fireworks, and New Friends

The Fourth of July weekend was a whirlwind of joy. We spent one day with family, watching fireworks burst across the sky and swapping stories with everyone—especially Aunt Debbie, who never fails to make me laugh. There’s a special kind of magic in those moments when you’re surrounded by the people you love most. The laughter, the shared glances, the feeling of belonging—it’s the heartbeat of this life we’ve built.

As I watched the kids play inside, hiding from the booms of the fireworks, my heart drifted back to summers at Grandma and Grandpa Knapp’s house. My cousins and I would race through the house and run around under the stars, our giggles echoing through the night. Those sounds—laughter, familiar voices—still linger in my memory, as vivid as ever. Now, seeing my own children and grandchildren here, I feel a quiet pride. They’re weaving their own tapestry of memories, ones I hope they’ll carry forever. I want them to look back on this farm with a tender smile, knowing it’s a home they can always return to, no matter where life leads.

Then, we switched gears for an event with a new client at Joe Knapp Consulting, LLC. It was a chance to meet fresh faces and embark on an exciting project together. Whether it’s family or new friends, these connections remind us why we pour our hearts into Gnomestead Farms. Community is everything here.
